Tecnomen begins employee negotiations

TECNOMEN BEGINS EMPLOYEE NEGOTIATIONS As a part of measures taken to reduce costs, Tecnomen Corporation will begin negotiations with its whole work force concerning temporary lay- offs and reduction of work hours in addition to other cost savings. These potential measures are estimated to start in September and be finished by the end of December. Tecnomen Corporation's field of operations is experiencing rapid changes and the uncertainties of the market have increased significantly. These uncertainties have changed the buying behaviour of teleoperators so that orders are split into smaller deals and buying decisions are made at the latest possible occasion. This has delayed Tecnomen's growth and makes the prediction of future development more difficult. Tecnomen's interim report for the period of 1 Jan-30 June, 2001 will be published on 16 August, 2001.
