TECNOMEN DELIVERS A UNIFIED MESSAGING SYSTEM EXPANSION WORTH EUR 1.8 MILLION TO EIRCELL Tecnomen Corporation has received an order for a unified messaging system expansion from Ireland's leading mobile phone operator Eircell. The order consists of a call completion service expansion to Eircell's Playback system and it provides expansion capacity for other messaging services as well. The delivery was made directly after the order was received and it will be launched for commercial use by the end of June. The value of the delivery is approximately EUR 1.8 million. Tecnomen's unified messaging systems integrate voice, fax and e-mail messages into a single package and enable messages to be sent and received using the most suitable terminal and user interface for each situation. The service expansion supplied to Eircell provides e.g. call completion, fax completion and short message notification services to the system. The new service pool is dimensioned to many hundreds of thousands of subscribers. The Irish telecommunications sector is continuously experiencing expansion and increased demand. Eircell holds over 60% of the market share in Ireland, with total mobile penetration currently at 67%. A subsidiary of Vodafone Group Plc, Eircell is Ireland's leading mobile phone operator with a base of over 1.5 million customers and a total of 1,670 employees.
