Tecnomen to supply messaging system to Telemig Celular S.A. in Brazil

TECNOMEN TO SUPPLY MESSAGING SYSTEM TO TELEMIG CELULAR S.A. IN BRAZIL Tecnomen is supplying a messaging system to the TIW operator Telemig Celular in Brazil. The delivery will take place in several phases, and the first phase includes voice mail, enhanced voice mail and fax mail services. It is already planned to integrate more features and services into the system later this year and in 2002. The initial transaction is valued at EUR 1 million. As part of this deal, Amazonia Celular, another part of the TIW holding, has also ordered an expansion to its existing Tecnomen Voice Mail System. Telemig Celular S.A. has two million subscribers in a TDMA network - with 800,000 of them being prepaid customers catered by the Tecnomen Prepaid platform. Telemig is known as a pioneering operator that launches innovative services.
