TECNOMEN DEMONSTRATES NEW MESSAGING SERVICES AT TETRA WORLD CONGRESS 2005 Tecnomen demonstrates new Messaging services on a TETRA network at TETRA World Congress 2005 in Frankfurt 28 November - 1 December 2005. The services to be showcased are Voice and Unified Messaging Services, and Short Data Service. Tecnomen Voice Mail services include a wide range of voice and fax services and features together with advanced notifications. Tecnomen Voice mail allows subscribers to receive important calls they would otherwise miss. Every incoming call is captured and the subscriber is notified, even when the TETRA terminal is turned off, out of the range or the caller hangs up without leaving the message. Unified Messaging services allow TETRA users to communicate more easily by enabling them to send and receive messages and manage their messages via voice, WAP and internet connection by using TETRA terminal. Tecnomen Short Data Service (SDS) Centre delivers a feature-rich range services that can be easily customised and integrated with existing TETRA services. Main SDS services include SDS Store and Forward, SDS Composer, and connectivity to SMS and E-Mail as well as WAP service capabilities. SDS also converts messages between SDS and SMS formats so that messages can cross seamlessly between GSM and TETRA networks. Recently, public authorities have shown increasing interest in voice and short messaging services.
