TECNOMEN ENTERS RUSSIAN MARKET WITH MMSC DEAL

This deal marks Tecnomen’s entry into an important growing market.

Russian operator Multiregional TransitTelecom (MTT) and its system
integrator partner Compulink have selected Tecnomen to provide its
Multimedia Messaging Service Centre (MMSC) and WAP Gateway.

MTT offers nationwide transit connections for cellular networks
throughout Russia. Currently 124 mobile operators with about 44
million customers, as well as networks of 65 wireline operators, are
connected to MTT’s transit network. Tecnomen MMSC’s unique hosting
capability, which makes it possible for multiple virtual MMSCs to
operate on a single platform, is essential for MTT’s operations. They
plan to take advantage of the full range of revenue possibilities
available by hosting multimedia messaging services for regional
operators.

"This new solution of MTT will allow mobile operators to offer their
customers a full package of MMS services with minimal costs. MTT will
be able to provide high quality multimedia messaging between customers
of all operators who are linked to our MMSC," says Vitaly Slizen,
First Deputy Managing Director, MTT.

"We are very pleased to have MTT as our new MMSC customer. This
agreement is an important breakthrough into the Russian mobile market,
which is currently experiencing explosive growth," says Mr. Ari
Paganus, Tecnomen’s Area Director for East Europe & CIS. "Tecnomen
MMSC’s unique hosting feature, combined with our excellent reputation
in the MMS market and our readiness to support MTT’s needs, were key
elements in securing this agreement."

The Russian mobile market is at the moment one of the fastest growing
markets in the world. It has already experienced a medium penetration
level in the two metropolitan areas Moscow and St. Petersburg. Growth
in the other regions of Russia is expected to increase dramatically in
coming years.
