TECNOMEN GETS 2.6 MILLION USD ORDER FROM TELEMIG AND AMAZONIA CELULAR IN BRAZIL

Tecnomen has been chosen to supply prepaid and voice mail services to the new GSM
network of Telemig Celular and Amazonia Celular in Brazil.

With the help of the feature-rich Tecnomen Prepaid solution, Telemig and Amazonia
can selectively group and target services to meet the needs of their specific
market segments. Tecnomen currently provides prepaid and messaging services like
voice mail and unified messaging for the companies' TDMA network users.

"The rapidly growing Brazilian economy provides a wealth of opportunities," says
Mr Erik Fernandes, CMO, Telemig and Amazonia. "But it also presents us with a
variety of challenges. Tecnomen's prepaid solution is designed to respond to the
needs of operators like us, to meet and exceed increasing and ever-changing
subscriber demand."

"We have been working with Telemig for over five years now, and our cooperation
has resulted in the introduction of a variety of popular new services in the
Brazilian marketplace. The GSM launch by Telemig and Amazonia is an important
milestone, and we are proud to be selected by Telemig and Amazonia to extend our
collaboration to this new network," says Mr Oscar Fernandez, Managing Director,
Tecnomen Latin America. "Telemig has a well-deserved reputation as one of the key
innovators in the market and country's premier mobile operators."

Tecnomen started operations in Latin America in 1997, and the telecommunications
markets in the region have continued to grow steadily since. However, even in the
most advanced countries, such as Brazil, mobile phone penetration is still today
less than 30 per cent with up to or 90 per cent of the customers of many mobile
phone operators being prepaid subscribers. An important part of Tecnomen's growth
strategy in the region is to emphasise long-term, open partnership with existing
customers.
