12 August 2005 at 11.50 am TECNOMEN RECEIVES USD 5.4 MILLION EXPANSION ORDER FROM BRASIL TELECOM Brasil Telecom has awarded a Prepaid and Messaging System expansion and upgrade contract to Tecnomen. Delivery is scheduled mainly for the third quarter of 2005. Tecnomen will provide Brasil Telecom with prepaid and messaging expansions and upgrades for its mobile and fixed networks. These expansions strengthen Brasil Telecom's position and enables Brasil Telecom to diversify its service offering to customers. Brasil Telecom, one of the largest telecommunications companies in Brazil. It is one of three fixed network operators formed when the industry was deregulated in 1999. Through its nine subsidiaries, Brasil Telecom operates in nine different states throughout central and southern Brazil, serving 34 per cent of the country, including the nation's capital.
