TECNOMEN RECEIVES USD 5.4 MILLION EXPANSION ORDER FROM BRASIL TELECOM

Brasil Telecom has awarded a Prepaid and Messaging System expansion and upgrade
contract to Tecnomen. Delivery is scheduled mainly for the third quarter of 2005.

Tecnomen will provide Brasil Telecom with prepaid and messaging expansions and
upgrades for its mobile and fixed networks. These expansions strengthen Brasil
Telecom's position and enables Brasil Telecom to diversify its service offering
to customers.

Brasil Telecom, one of the largest telecommunications companies in Brazil. It is
one of three fixed network operators formed when the industry was deregulated in
1999. Through its nine subsidiaries, Brasil Telecom operates in nine different
states throughout central and southern Brazil, serving 34 per cent of the
country, including the nation's capital.

Oscar Fernandez, Managing Director of Tecnomen Latin America, notes that "This
expansion is significant to Tecnomen as it deepens the already well-established
partnership between Tecnomen and Brasil Telecom in the provision of convergent
value-added services. It is not only mobile services that are expected to grow
significantly in Latin America in the coming years, but fixed network operations
as well."

Tecnomen Prepaid capitalises on Tecnomen's extensive experience with provisioning
of charging services utilising Intelligent Network (IN) solutions in a high
capacity, cost effective, redundant, and scalable manner. The Tecnomen Prepaid
Charging system comprises Voice and Data Charging for different services such as
SMS, MMS, and data content.

Oscar Fernandez, Managing Director of Tecnomen Latin America, observes, "We
expect the Prepaid Data market to increase significantly in the coming years.
Therefore it is strategically advantageous to have a solution that can charge not
only for standard voice services, but a variety of data services in a cost
effective way."

The Tecnomen Messaging solution includes some of the most advanced technology on
the market for meeting the needs of mobile subscribers today and tomorrow.
Utilising the modular Tecnomen Messaging solution, operators and service
providers are able to build messaging service packages tailored to suit their
individual requirements, thus providing their customers with the advanced added-
value services required to succeed in today's competitive market.
