TECNOMEN TO DELIVER VOICE MAIL SYSTEM EXPANSION TO INDONESIAN INDOSAT
Tecnomen has signed an agreement to supply a voice mail system (VMS)
expansion to Indonesian operator Indosat. This expansion will increase
the system capacity to accommodate up to six million subscribers.
Delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2004.
Indosat is one of the largest telecommunications businesses in
Southeast Asia and the second largest operator of cellular
telecommunications services in Indonesia.
Tecnomen delivered Indosats current voice mail system in 2003. The
modular design of Tecnomens system makes it easily scalable. This
expansion will allow Indosat to add more capacity quickly as their
subscriber base grows. It will also allow them to offer new voice mail
messaging services to both new and existing voice mail and prepaid
customers.
