TECNOMEN TO SUPPLY PREPAID AND MESSAGING EXPANSIONS TO BRAZIL Tecnomen has been chosen to supply prepaid service capacity expansion and a voice mail service expansion to Amazonia Celular and Telemig Celular in Brazil, Opportunity Group telecom wireless operators. The expansions will be delivered by the end of 2003. The operators current prepaid and voice mail solutions are both supplied by Tecnomen. The prepaid expansion will significantly increase the capacity of the existing system, while the voice mail service expansion will enable Amazonia Celular and Telemig Celular to provide enhanced services to both new and existing customers, improving customer loyalty and increasing revenues. Telemig Celular is the leading mobile operator in the state of Minas Gerais, with approximately 60 per cent market share. Amazonia Celular is the leading mobile operator in five states in the northern region of Brazil, with approximately 45 percent market share. With a subscriber base of around 3 million, including over 2 million prepaid customers, Amazonia Celular and Telemig Celular are recognised as pioneering operators offering innovative services.
