VODAFONE ORDERS MESSAGING SYSTEM EXPANSION AND UPGRADE FROM TECNOMEN

Vodafone Ireland has chosen Tecnomen to expand and upgrade ‘Vodafone
Voice Mail’. Delivery will take place during third quarter of 2004.

Vodafone is Ireland's leading mobile phone operator with a customer
base of over 1.8 million subscribers, representing a 54 per cent
market share. Mobile penetration in Ireland now stands at 88 per cent.

The expansion of the existing Tecnomen Messaging system will
significantly increase messaging capacity, and the upgrade will
provide a new range of value-added services for Vodafone Ireland’s
‘Vodafone Mail’ solution. This new, easy-to-use package includes
features that will allow Vodafone’s voice mail system to function as a
personal assistant and increase subscribers’ active voice mail usage.

"This expansion and upgrade will allow us to add more capacity quickly
as our subscriber base grows," explains Laragh McNeese Vodafone Mail
Product Manager, Vodafone Ireland. "It will also allow us to offer new
voice mail messaging services to both new and existing customers.
‘Vodafone Mail’ provides our subscribers with a single location from
which to view and respond to their messages and personal information."

"Vodafone Ireland has been a customer of Tecnomen for over ten years,"
says Mr Petri Nordlund, Sales Director, Tecnomen Corporation. "At the
end of 2002, we delivered our messaging solution which provided a core
component of their ‘Vodafone Mail’ service. The new features being
delivered with this deal are built on Tecnomen’s proven messaging
solution. They were tailored to meet Vodafone Ireland’s specific
requirements. With them, they will be able to offer their subscribers
useful and compelling new services."

Tecnomen Messaging includes some of the most advanced technology on
the market for meeting the needs of mobile subscribers today and
tomorrow. With Tecnomen Messaging, operators and service providers can

build messaging service packages tailored to suit their own
requirements, and offer their customers the advanced added-value
services needed to stand out in today’s competitive market.

Vodafone Mail is an advanced and enhanced mobile e-mail system that
will allow customers to listen to voice mails and view faxes on the
web as well as access their Vodafone e-mail on their handsets. With a
Vodafone live! e-mail address, customers get a generous personal
storage of 10MB free of charge.
