Digital Mobility launches WAP service InHand with Tele1 Europe Digital Mobility InHand AB now launches its InHand wireless portal in the Nordics, www.inhand.net. For the very first time end-users are getting fast and simple access to different WAP-services like travel management, financial and other information services. The new service is launched in partnership with the Nordic data- and telecom operator Tele1 Europe. Tele1 Europe is providing local connectivity with Digital Mobility Inhand´s WAPHUB from Tele1 Europe's network across the Nordics. The InHand WAP services are accessible for all WAP mobile users in the Nordics, regardless of operator. The portal is reached through a phone number, accessed through Tele1 Europe's network. Through the InHand WAP-portal, executives can enjoy "any time, any place" access to high-value information services via their WAP mobile handset. Digital Mobility InHand AB will be announcing further service additions to the InHand portal in the coming months, including banking and other transactional capabilities that are enabled by the unique abilities of the WAPHUB to provide a secure, encrypted access environment for WAP commerce. - We have now taken the first steps to offer our customers really advanced WAP-services. We are continuously looking for new areas of development and are highly focused in this area of mobile Internet, says Ivar Strömberg CEO at Tele1 Europe Holding AB. - With nearly 20% of all mobile handsets expected to be WAP compatible before the end of this year, the demand for timely, relevant, useful information and transactional services is going to be immense, says Krister Jörlén, Managing Director of Digital Mobility InHand AB.
