Senior management change places at Tele1 Europe

Senior management change places at Tele1 Europe (NASDAQ: TEUR, Stockholm Stock Exchange: TEUR) Pelle Hjortblad, currently Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tele1 Europe Holding AB, will be taking over as the new Managing Director of Tele1 Europe AB, the group's Swedish operating subsidiary. Anders Brismo, who is currently the Managing Director at Tele1 Europe AB, will be taking over from Pelle Hjortblad as the Chief Operating Officer of Tele1 Europe Holding AB. Ivar Strömberg CEO at Tele1 Europe Holding AB commented: - This change of leadership is a natural progression for Tele1. Pelle Hjortblad has sound experience of operational leadership in the telecom sector and will become responsible for the further development of our Swedish company, which continues to see rapid growth. Anders Brismo has superb expertise in the development of services, strategies and partnerships in the data- and Internet sectors, and so he is to take on overall responsibility for the Nordic countries." The management changes will take effect on Friday, 26 May 2000. Background Pelle Hjortblad joined Tele1 Europe Holding AB in August 1999 as the Chief Operating Officer. Before this, he was director of business sales and marketing and, prior to that, marketing director in charge of sales and marketing to the small and medium-sized business and residential market at Tele2 AB. Pelle Hjortblad also held positions as Marketing Manager for Kuwait Petroleum Svenska AB and Marketing Manager for McDonald's Sweden AB. Anders Brismo has been the Managing Director of Tele1 Europe AB since October 1998. Previously he has held positions as Managing Director at Data General Svenska AB, Novell Svenska AB and Software Products International Scandinavia.
