Tele1 Europe signs telecommunications contract with Svenska Handelsbanken Svenska Handelsbanken have signed an agreement with Tele1 Europe where the data- and telecommunications operator will supply solutions for fixed telecommunication services for all the bank's 461 offices and subsidiary companies in Sweden. The agreement will run for two years and is worth approximately SEK 25 million. The fact that Handelsbanken chose Tele1 Europe is a major success for us. Competition in the market is extremely tough and we are of course very pleased to be Handelsbanken's first choice. The finance sector places very high demands on its suppliers of data and telecommunication services and their needs are often very technically advanced. The agreement means that, over the next two years, Tele1 Europe will be responsible for all of Handelsbanken's outbound traffic for indirect and direct telecommunication services. Earlier this year, Tele1 Europe signed an agreement with FöreningsSparbanken concerning broadband-based datacommunication services and with SEB concerning IP/VPN links between the bank's offices in Finland and Sweden.
