Benima, Teleca’s industrial IT and automation business, and SwedPower, Sweden’s leading energy consulting company, have today entered into a collaboration agreement that will further strengthen their position in the energy sector by enabling them to offer customers even larger and more comprehensive undertakings. Today the energy sector throughout the world is in great need of investment. Benima expects demand to keep rising for several years, regardless of the general state of the business cycle. Both companies predict that the collaboration will lead to them winning contracts for more large projects, both in the Nordic region and internationally.

Benima is the Nordic region’s leading supplier-independent consulting company specialising in industrial IT and automation, with a great deal of experience from the energy sector. SwedPower is Sweden’s leading energy consulting company, with wide-ranging expertise in energy technology, environmental technology and management. The partners have complementary skills and expertise, which means that together they can offer a complete set of services and turnkey contracts for, among other things, new or rebuilt power stations. Benima and SwedPower are already collaborating on several successful projects, and several other contracts in which the companies have also chosen to work together are currently being negotiated. The new agreement makes things easier for customers because it gives them the opportunity to conclude agreements with a single party instead of several. “The current large investment needs in the energy sector have led to an increased interest in partners with a complete set of services and the capability of undertaking turnkey contracts. I’m convinced that working together will both lead to more large projects and substantially strengthen our position,” says Per Magnusson, managing director of Benima SydVäst. “I’m impressed by SwedPower’s high level of expertise, good reputation and wide network of contacts in the energy sector.” “We’re looking forward to working with Benima, not only because our experience of working with them before has been very positive but also because it will lead to new, interesting projects,” says Tomas Mattsson, managing director of SwedPower. “Benima’s leading position in industrial IT and automation together with our energy sector expertise and experience make us the perfect working partner for our customers.” The agreement, which comes into force on 1 June, will among other things enable Benima and SwedPower to make joint offers primarily to the nuclear, thermal and hydroelectric power industries. The collaboration is not exclusive.
