Benima sells interest in sawmill systems

Benima has today signed an agreement with Line-S AB concerning the sale of the sawmill-based business of Benima Mellan AB. The agreement covers the business’s 21 employees and the rights to products and software for sawmill automation and measuring/optimisation.

Line-S AB is owned by the management of the Benima Mellan’s office in Nyköping. The business, whose turnover in 2004 was SEK 29 million, was sold to Pronyx in 2000 and thereby incorporated in Benima in autumn 2002, when Teleca acquired Pronyx. Both parties expect the business to develop better as an independent, specialised company focused on the Swedish and international wood industry. Lines-S AB intends to change its name to Sawco AB during April. The sale of the business will have a marginal effect on Teleca’s results.
