Teleca and QUALCOMM to Integrate MMS and WAP on Chipsets for UMTS/GSM/GPRS Handsets Teleca Mobile Technologies and QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM) today announced an agreement to work together to provide fully integrated and tested multimedia messaging service (MMS) and wireless application protocol (WAP) solutions for third generation (3G) Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) and GSM/GPRS handset manufacturers. This cooperative effort will result in the integration of Teleca's AU Mobile Suite MMS and WAP solutions with QUALCOMM's Launchpad(TM) applications. The integrated and completely verified solution which will be available in the first half of calendar year 2003 will enable carriers to seamlessly deliver multimedia and messaging services across their networks to their subscriber customers.
