Teleca sells Teleca UniView AB business to Radius Sweden AB

Teleca has today signed an agreement with Radius Sweden AB concerning the sale of the business activities of Teleca UniView AB. At the same time Teleca and Radius have also signed a collaboration agreement.

Teleca UniView AB, which develops and sells its own HMI/SCADA product, Uni-View®, is considered more compatible with Radius Sweden AB, which supplies communication and remote control products and systems. Teleca took over the business activities connected with the Uni-View® product in the summer of 2002 as part of the acquisition by Teleca of the quoted company Pronyx AB. Teleca and Radius have also signed a collaboration agreement in conjunction with the sale of the business. The agreement covers both Teleca’s industrial IT and automation consulting services, which are run under the Benima brand, and Radius’s communication and remote control products and systems. “Uni-View® complements Radius’s range of products and systems well, so the sale will in effect help both companies to streamline and concentrate their core activities. The collaboration agreement will enable Benima to supply Radius with the advanced engineering services it needs, while our industrial projects will be able to benefit from Radius’s expertise and products in the area of communication and remote control systems,” says Tore Helgeson, who is responsible for Teleca’s Industrial IT & Automation division. “We’re very pleased to be able to incorporate a good HMI/SCADA product into our range.
