The acquisition will take effect on January 1st, 2007, when 99 employees will transfer to Prevas AB.

The transfer is part of the process of focusing the operations and improving profitability of auSystems announced by Teleca in connection with the Q3 report.

“I’m very satisfied that Prevas will acquire the Teleca Life Science and Embedded Solutions operations in Stockholm. The transaction is industrially sound, as the Prevas takeover will provide customers and employees alike with a new focus, along with fulfilling the prerequisites for a positive trend,” says Örjan Frid, CEO of auSystems AB.

“This is the most important acquisition to date,” says Anders Englund, CEO of Prevas. Firstly, our upsizing will make Prevas even more interesting as a partner for large-scale development projects, which creates opportunities for strengthening our customer cooperation. Secondly, we will affirm our position as the leading Nordic company within embedded systems, which creates more possibilities of recruiting the best employees on a market that is getting more stringent. Thirdly, our new size will make us more interesting on the stock market, which is advantageous for our investors.
