Teleca to deliver instrumentation and control system to Swedish Nuclear Power Plant Forsmark Benima, a part of Teleca, has been given the assignment by Forsmarks Kraftgrupp to modernise the instrumentation and control system of the radioactive waste disposal plant at Forsmark 3. The radioactive waste disposal plant processes liquid waste and filter masses from Forsmark 3 and also from Forsmark 1 and 2. Benima's assignment includes a complete system delivery, with design, programming, testing and implementation of a new instrumentation and control system replacing the present equipment. The system will be implemented within very short time frame to minimize the shut down of the production. "We are very proud of having received the assignment from Forsmark," says Gunnar Meller, project leader at Benima. We have been able to meet the customer's demands thanks to the experiences we have gained from many years of work with customers that have high demands on security and efficiency in industries such as nuclear power and pharmaceuticals. With the new system Forsmark will get a technically advanced instrumentation and control system that build on the latest technology.
