Teleca Transfers Stockholm and Umeå Offices as Part of Restructuring Product Operations

Report this content

Teleca has earlier this year announced the restructuring of its product operations. As part of this process, Teleca has signed a contract stating that Softronic AB will take over 37 employees at the Teleca Mobile Stockholm office. Teleca has also signed a letter of intent regarding the transfer of the Umeå office to a new company focused on advanced mobile software services.

Part of the restructuring process involves closing the Teleca Mobile offices in Ronneby, Umeå and Stockholm, thus reducing the number of employees by 150. The Ronneby office was transferred to another company on the 1st of November.

Teleca has signed a contract with Softronic; the terms involve the transfer of 37 employees of the PC Connectivity operations in Stockholm to Softronic AB at the end of the year. The contract does not include any products or intellectual property rights. In connection to the transfer, Teleca has ordered consultancy services from Softronic for the first half of 2007. The services in question are connected to finishing current projects and the transfer of knowledge to other Teleca offices. The transfer does not affect the other Stockholm operations within the auSystems division.

The transfers that have been made and the costs associated with that are in line with the restructuring programme that was announced in October earlier this year.

The Umeå office is to be transferred to a new company according to a letter of intent. The operations are to be transferred during the first quarter of next year, and all employees are to be offered employment by the new owner. Teleca has about 50 employees based in Umeå at present.
