TeleComputing today announced that they have joined Microsoft Corp.’s Cloud OS Network, as one of numerous cloud service providers worldwide. The alliance enables TeleComputing to combine their local products and services with the Microsoft Cloud Platform, giving Nordic customers high flexibility and solutions tailored to meet their needs.

“By joining the Cloud OS Network, we can offer our customers Microsoft’s industry leading cloud platform and integrate this with local services needed to meet Nordic market and legislative requirements. The new offering gives customers flexible cloud solutions based on the latest Microsoft technology, while keeping investment costs at a minimum,” said Kjell Tore Espeseth, CTO at TeleComputing.

The Cloud OS Network is a worldwide consortium of 25 cloud service providers who are delivering services based on the Microsoft Cloud Platform (including Windows Server 2012 R2 with Hyper-V, System Center 2012 R2, and the Windows Azure Pack). The service providers support Microsoft’s Cloud OS vision of one consistent platform for infrastructure, applications and data that spans customer datacenters, Windows Azure, and service provider clouds.

“We see an increased demand for flexible and dynamic cloud services, and focus on delivering value-added services to the Nordic market that meet these needs. By enrolling in the Cloud OS Network, we can quickly and cost-effectively develop new services, attract new customers, and increase revenues,” said Espeseth.

TeleComputing is now able to provide datacenters without boundaries for apps, data and device management. Meaning customers can focus on their core business, rather than managing a datacenter.

“By enabling customers to build on a consistent and familiar platform based on Windows Server with Hyper-V, System Center, and the Windows Azure Pack, while working with a local service provider, the Cloud OS Network allows Norwegian businesses to take advantage of the cloud on their own terms. As part of the Cloud OS Network, TeleComputing is able to meet customer demand for hybrid cloud solutions that are flexible and cost effective,” said Michael Jacobs, Country Manager, Microsoft Norge.
