GDF SUEZ E&P Norge AS, a fully owned subsidiary of energy giant GDF SUEZ, has renewed and substantially extended their IT-operation agreement with TeleComputing. The agreement means that TeleComputing will take responsibility for the company’s IT operation and related IT On Demand services based on TeleComputing’s centralized IT delivery concept. The initial 3-year agreement has an estimated value of MNOK 35.

– We chose to renew and extend our co-operation with TeleComputing since they could demonstrate good, standardized and competitive solutions which reflect our IT needs. Flexibility and experience were particularly important considerations, says Knut-Olaf Rusten, ICT Manager in GDF SUEZ E&P Norge AS. As one of the leading energy providers in the world, GDF SUEZ is active along the entire energy value chain, in electricity and natural gas, upstream and downstream. As one of the newcomers on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, the fully owned GDF SUEZ subsidiary, GDF SUEZ E&P Norge, has established a solid portfolio of exploration and production licenses since being established in 2001. – We are very proud that GDF SUEZ E&P Norge has chosen us as their IT-operation partner. We see this as yet another confirmation that our central IT-operation services are in line with the current marked needs in relation to cost efficiency, availability and security. This agreement also highlights our continued local presence in the Stavanger region, says Sven Tore Kaasa, CEO in TeleComputing.
