Mercuri Urval, a major international consulting firm, has chosen TeleComputing as their IT-partner for a new IT OnDemand solution and related corporate IT service portfolio to their 800 employees in 67 offices across 24 countries. The agreement also includes the smooth transition of Mercuri Urval’s users from the existing IT solution to TeleComputing’s centralized, “one-to-many” IT delivery platform. The 3-year agreement has an estimated initial value of MSEK 25.

- We need a cost-effective global IT-solution where our personnel can use our business applications in a secure and flexible manner wherever they may be. Our consultants need to be able to access Mercuri Urval systems from any of our offices, when they are travelling, at our customers locations or if they work from home. TeleComputing has the competence and technology to offer this type of solution. They have also demonstrated how this could be achieved in a secure, flexible and cost-effective manner, says Roger Hagafors, CIO in Mercuri Urval. In most IT-operation environments today it is often difficult to provide adequate resources when temporary IT needs arise. However, with the TeleComputing IT OnDemand solution, and the associated “pay as you go” model, Mercuri Urval will be able to adjust the IT costs according to their actual needs. Unlike traditional IT-solutions or “silos”, this style of scalable, IT-enabled computing capabilities, also referred to as cloud computing, are provided ”as a service” to multiple external customers using internet technologies. – We are delighted that Mercuri Urval has chosen us and our IT OnDemand solution. Our centralized, “one-to-many” IT delivery platform represents the core of our IT services which already include 2.400 approved applications, 800 business customers and 50.000 users. We will do our utmost to ensure that Mercuri Urval will enjoy all the benefits that our OnDemand solution can provide, says Sven Tore Kaasa, CEO in TeleComputing.
