RCA LEVERAGING VoIP FOR SMALL BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS WITH NEW TELEPHONE LINEUP

AUSTIN - October 3, 2012 - As business communications evolve and expand far beyond voice, RCA business telephones are changing to reflect the different ways that businesses are using telephone systems to stay in touch and realize cost savings.
RCA Business phones are now entering the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) business phone market with three newly available models – the IP150, IP120, and the IP110. The new RCA business communications products are on display this week at the ITEXPO booth #514.

Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services are becoming more commonplace in small business, and RCA is entering the VoIP market with new business communications products aimed at small to medium-sized firms such as law firms, doctor and insurance offices looking to upgrade their current system and maintain an office with multiple telephone lines.
The flagship of Telefield’s new family of RCA-brand VoIP business phones is the RCA IP150 Touchscreen IP telephone. The IP150 is a desk telephone that expands on the basic features such as VIP ringtones, a Do Not Disturb mode, backlit keypad and visual ringer to also include Android-powered Internet applications and services through the use of a built-in 7” capacitive touch screen.
The Android platform provides access to a suite of Google Apps, while also supporting Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications such as Salesforce.com, airline information services, a weather information widget and streaming media content.
Other business productivity apps can easily be ported to the IP150 through a software development kit (SDK) or using the application programming interface (API) layer. Programs such as Microsoft Outlook and Google Contacts are also compatible with the RCA IP150, making it easy to import contacts and go to work right away with an RCA VoIP desk phone.
In addition to the enhanced functionality of the RCA IP150, other telephones throughout the office can also take advantage of VoIP connectivity. The RCA IP110 and IP120 are two additional desk phone offerings that will access most hosted service features from popular softswitch systems by BroadSoft, Metaswitch and Digium.
Both the IP120 and IP110 feature HD voice, a full-duplex speakerphone with volume control, customizable VIP ringtones, a Do Not Disturb feature and a visual ringer.
The 6-line Android-based IP150 (suggested retail price of $399), the 3-line IP120 (suggested retail price $139), and the 2-line IP110 (suggested retail price $119) are each now available from leading telecom equipment distributors such as VoIP Supply, Teledynamics and Jenne.
