Telelogic and Primavera Announce Cooperative Effort to Automate Development Lifecycle - Companies to Promote Benefits of Integrating Requirements and Project Management Systems - IRVINE, California and Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania - March 18, 2002 - Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange: TLOG) and Primavera Systems, Inc. today announced a cooperative effort to promote the integration of their products to help project teams better manage both project requirements, resources and schedule. The planned interface, called PMConnex, is being developed and sold by Project Management Centre, a Primavera solution provider/distributor and Telelogic business partner based in Ottawa, Canada. PMConnex will link key project requirement information in Telelogic DOORS with schedule details in the Primavera Enterprise and Primavera TeamPlay project management software suites. "The pressure to improve time-to-market drives all of us to improve reaction times and get it right the first time," said Scott Raskin, President Telelogic Americas. "Two disciplines have proven their ability to do this: project management and requirements management. This integration between Telelogic DOORS and Primavera creates a two-way information flow between the project schedule and the project requirements which improves the understanding of the impact of any change so that the right decisions can be made quickly." Using PMConnex, project plan information, including work breakdown structures, will be linked directly to specific development requirements. Project managers can then assign tasks based on specific development needs and readily report on progress. By linking requirements to a realistic project schedule, PMConnex provides a unified vision of the project because users have agreed to the project's scope and schedule structures. This enables the entire project team to immediately see the impact of proposed scope changes thereby minimizing scope creep, and with better project visibility, they will be able to improve project delivery. "Project collaboration starts at the requirements phase. Project teams must act collectively and proactively to increase stakeholder and team understanding beyond the requirements to their content and implications," stated Margo Visitacion, director, Giga Information Group. The integration between DOORS and Primavera software takes a synchronization approach, enabling users to enter or add data on either company's application, and updating it in both. This enables users to work within their own environment, while gaining access to data in either application and reducing the overall cost of software acquisition and maintenance. "As companies in the telecommunications, aerospace, software development, and high tech markets deploy Primavera software, integration with leading requirements management systems is growing in importance," explained John Garay, Alliance Manager of Primavera. "We are pleased to work with Telelogic to promote the benefits of using our products together." Product Availability PMConnex will be available in April 2002 directly from Project Management Centre.
