Telelogic Announces "Seamless" Partnership with Mentor Graphics Two international development tool giants combine forces to provide an integrated software/hardware solution for SDL-based development MALMÖ, Sweden, October 12, 1999 - Telelogic AB (Stockholm Stock Exchange:TLOG), a leading supplier of system/software development and testing technology (Telelogic Tau ), today announced the formation of a strategic partnership with Mentor Graphics® Corporation (NASDAQ:MENT), the supplier of the Seamless Co-Verification Environment (CVE ). This marketing agreement is the basis for a cooperative business and technical alliance to achieve superior customer satisfaction, incremental business opportunities and a high level of technical integration between the two companies' respective products. The combination of Mentor Graphics' Seamless CVE products and Telelogic Tau aggressively advances both companies' expansion into early system level verification and rapid prototyping, to address the needs of designers that are currently plagued with time-consuming, hand-generated code to get to a target processor. The code generation aspect of Telelogic Tau provides significant improvement to the quality of a system compared to hand-written systems of the past, and a 50% improvement in efficiency compared to those areas written in C/C++. Mentor's Seamless CVE interfaces with Telelogic Tau's SDL simulator and performs co-verification before a physical prototype is built, therefore enabling early detection and correction of errors in the hardware/software interface. The integration of these tools shortens the development time for embedded systems, and reduces the number of hardware prototype iterations.
