New Solutions Allow Any Organization to More Fully Apply Architecture Information for Better Decisions and Streamlined Application Development

MALMÖ, Sweden and IRVINE, California –November 26, 2007 – Telelogic (Nordic Exchange/MidCap/TLOG) today announced a series of technology enhancements to help organizations continue to improve their business planning and implementation projects. These integrated solutions enable worldwide team collaboration, strengthen enterprise planning capabilities, and empower organizations to understand and formulate their business strategies and develop IT solutions that satisfy their business goals.

Today’s announcements include the latest releases of Telelogic System Architect®, the industry leading enterprise architecture and business analysis solution; Telelogic Tau®, a leading model-driven development (MDD™) solution for enterprise IT development; and a ground-breaking integration between the two solutions.

The Telelogic solutions extend the company’s offerings in the areas of enterprise architecture, business analysis, business optimization and IT implementation for both service oriented architecture (SOA) and more traditional environments. Telelogic’s strategy gives a much wider range of people within an organization -- including business analysts, enterprise architects, executives and IT developers -- the opportunity to more fully participate in the enterprise architecture-to-IT process.

“Our customers can use these new capabilities to better understand the potential impact of implementing their business strategies,” said Greg Sikes, executive vice president, Modeling Solutions Product Division, Telelogic. “Our goal is continued improvement of collaboration, analysis and planning so that all team members within an organization have access to quality information for making smarter decisions about evolving to a more optimized state of operations.”

Cross functional collaboration is increasingly important to organizations seeking to optimize performance throughout the enterprise. Recent Telelogic research conducted at the 2007 Enterprise Architecture Conference indicates that most teams do not have the right tools in place to transition from business, organizational and IT planning to the deployment of relevant services and information systems. Only 27percent of those surveyed reported using a model-based approach, while the majority of respondents rely on verbal or written methods to translate business goals into development plans. As a result, 80 percent of all respondents reported that the services and applications that are developed "only somewhat" reflect the needs of subject matter experts.

With the new releases of System Architect and Tau, Telelogic improves the ability for both technical and non-technical personnel to achieve the best possible solution by participating in each phase of the enterprise architecture and application development process. Traceability is maintained from initial business goals and requirements to implementation to better support corporate compliance and future regression analysis and audit. Deployed technologies and services reflect the current business requirements and objectives and can be easily adapted to changing business needs.

Improved Enterprise Architecture and Business Analysis Capabilities
Telelogic’s industry-leading enterprise architecture and business analysis solution, System Architect, has been enhanced to allow for more cross-functional collaboration with the addition of a live integration between System Architecture and Microsoft® Visio® drawing and diagramming software. With System Architecture 11.0, Telelogic also introduces enterprise planning capabilities by adding visualization and time-based categorization and analysis. Enterprise Architecture to IT Implementation
System Architect 11.0 now supports the UML® 2.1 standard. In addition, System Architect has been integrated with Telelogic Tau, Telelogic’s standards-based environment for the model driven development of enterprise systems and software, to offer a bi-directional enterprise architecture to IT workflow implementation, the first of its kind in the industry. Further enhancements have been made in Tau 4.0 to significantly bolster requirements engineering and the product’s support for the model-driven SOA development. Federal Standards Support
System Architect 11.0 now offers integrated support for several federal defense standards, including the Dept. of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF) v1.5, the Core Architecture Data Model (CADM), the architecture data element specification, and the DoD Architecture Repository System (DARS), a defense repository.
