Telelogic DOORS selected by major US communications company MALMÖ, Sweden - December 28, 2001 - Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange: TLOG), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced software and systems development, today announced that a leading US communications services company with global operations signed an agreement to purchase additional Telelogic DOORS, the leading requirements management tool. The total value of the agreement amounts to US$450.000 for licenses, maintenance and accompanying services. With this agreement the customer selected DOORS as their standard requirements tool for implementation in one of their US sites and is discontinuing use of other requirements tools. "Given the current weak market conditions it is reassuring to see companies investing in future expansion of their development organizations and that Telelogic thereby is the natural choice for solutions to help cut costs and shorten time-to-market of their products," said Anders Lidbeck, President and CEO for Telelogic. This will allow the customer to take advantage of reuse and commonality of requirements while improving their delivery schedules and product quality. Having over one thousand potential users and hundreds of attributes to track and manage, a critical business issue was to select a solution that can scale as they continue to expand their product offering. Also, a solution that interfaces with other 3rd party tools in the organization was especially valuable. These are typical strengths of Telelogic DOORS as well as Telelogic's tools in general.
