Telelogic experiences negative effects from weakened economy MALMÖ, Sweden - October 8, 2001 - The weakening economy has accelerated following the tragic events in USA on September 11 and this has in a concrete way affected Telelogic's (Stockholm Exchange:TLOG) US sales operations in a negative way. Also other international sales operations, mainly in Western Europe, develop below plan due to the increased uncertainty in the market. The prerequisites to reach previous announced full year goals have thereby deteriorated significantly. Telelogic estimates that the entire second half year and the first quarter next year will be weak. The action program that Telelogic announced in July is progressing according to plan and the company's financial position is good. Due to the deepening slump Telelogic will however continue to adapt its costs. This in combination with Telelogic's strong market position in USA, Europe and Asia, means that Telelogic is well positioned when the uncertainty in the market decreases and the investment will returns. Additional details regarding further actions will be commented in connection with the release of the quarterly report on October 17.
