Telelogic Partners with Mecel to Develop Bluetooth Package Partnership formed to help telecommunications and automotive markets develop Bluetooth-enabled products in a fraction of the time MALMÖ, Sweden, February 29, 2000 - Telelogic AB (Stockholm Stock Exchange:TLOG), the leading supplier of design, development and testing tools for real-time communications applications, today announced the formation of a partnership with Mecel AB, a subsidiary of Delphi Delco Electronics Systems specializing in the development of advanced electronics concepts for the automotive industry. The integration of Mecel's innovative stack solution with the Telelogic Tau tool suite will provide telecommunications customers and automotive developers with a complete protocol-stack solution for Bluetooth development. Mecel's Bluetooth protocol stack provides a generic software platform for rapid product development. Developed in ANSI C, it has a strong emphasis on resource efficiency and dependability, and is designed to be platform independent, hence making ideal for small embedded systems. To ensure a verifyable and maintainable design, the implementation has been strictly modularised according to the Bluetooth System Core specification. The Telelogic Tau tool suite is comprised of visual object-oriented tools for all phases of the development process, with full support for UML, SDL and TTCN languages. With the addition of the Mecel protocol stack, this newly offered solution will help customers develop their Bluetooth-enabled products faster and more efficiently.
