Telelogic sells the SCADE business unit to Esterel Technologies MALMÖ, Sweden - October 30, 2001 - Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange:TLOG), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced software and systems development, has today signed an agreement with the software company Esterel Technologies S.A for the sale of SCADE, a software tool for development of safety critical systems. SCADE was added to Telelogic's product portfolio through the acquisition of Verilog. "This is the fourth deal of this type that we have conducted this year. These sales are done within the framework of our efforts to further focus on our core products. We have sold these products to companies, where the products will be in focus, which is very good for the customers and for the employees working with these products. At the same time we decrease our total costs and strengthen our financial position," says Anders Lidbeck, President and CEO for Telelogic. "SCADE is a product of high quality which Telelogic has been selling successfully for several years. SCADE fits very well with our product portfolio and we will invest heavily in further product development. Esterel Technologies will distribute the product globally through our own sales channels. The product is sold for Euro 1.4 million (US$1.25 million) in cash. Based on the future development of the product, an additional purchase price of Euro 1.1 million (US$1.0 million) may be paid.
