New Features in Telelogic Tau Pre-launch 4.0: UML to SDL Translator (Integrated in Telelogic Tau UML and SDL Suite) The new UML to SDL Translator allows designers to move smoothly from a UML analysis to an SDL design by translating all the UML model information to the corresponding SDL model. Class diagrams and state charts are converted to SDL processes, data objects or external actors. This powerful translator significantly improves the entire development process, from graphical models to running code. When it comes to testing and deploying the system, data that is sent to other systems needs to be encoded from the internal format to a common protocol format.
