MALMÖ, Sweden – December 21, 2004 – Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange/TLOG), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, today announced a license deal worth $1.2 million for Telelogic TAU® Generation 2 automated development and testing tools with a US telecom manufacturer. Telelogic TAU will be added to Telelogic DOORS®, the manufacturer’s corporate standard solution for requirements management, enabling the customer to benefit from requirements driven development. The tools committed to in this one year license deal include Telelogic TAU Generation2, the UML 2.0 next generation automated software development tool. This along with the proven tools in TAU Generation1, i.e. Telelogic SDL development and TTCN testing tools, continue to be the chosen tools for software development by this manufacturer. The integration between DOORS and TAU allows model driven development to be taken into the requirements space, providing even higher quality and shorter development cycles. “The need for continued growth in the telecom sector is an ongoing challenge for our customers. One of the key factors in achieving these aims is being first-to-market with quality products that customers want. But, of course, this must be done while minimizing costs and the use of resources. DOORS and TAU will help the customer achieve these objectives by improving the development processes, and by providing better management, traceability and reporting on requirements-related information," says Anders Lidbeck, President and CEO of Telelogic.
