Telelogic Signs US$1.2 Million Enterprise Deal with Global Telecom Equipment Manufacturer

Telelogic Signs US$1.2 Million Enterprise Deal with Global Telecom Equipment Manufacturer MALMÖ, Sweden and IRVINE, California - June 28, 2002 - Telelogic, (Stockholm Exchange: TLOG), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, today announced a groundbreaking deal with a global 500 telecommunications equipment manufacturer, creating an enterprise-level, worldwide partnership through the end of 2003. The U.S.-based client signed an 18-month master agreement for the Telelogic Tau® suite of development and testing tools. The deal, worth US$1.2 million, includes nearly 5,000 licenses for Telelogic Tau. The licenses will be available on demand to development teams worldwide and will be centralized on license servers in the United States. With the agreement, the company has standardized on Telelogic Tau for development and testing of its sophisticated real time systems and embedded software applications. "This groundbreaking partnership provides them with centralized, flexible licensing and creates a single point of entry for all their Telelogic Tau needs," said Anders Lidbeck, president and CEO of Telelogic. "By continually monitoring usage levels, we will anticipate license demand and provide just-in-time licensing - without the typical headaches associated with purchasing, licensing and installing globally distributed development tools." "For companies with global development teams, centralizing licensing and purchasing for common development tools - particularly those that are standards for the organization - provides great economies of scale," Scott Raskin, president, Telelogic Americas. "As this customer quickly realized, using centralized servers allows them to balance the needs of all their development teams across time zones and project timelines. This ensures they receive the maximum return on investment for each license while reducing administrative overhead and the total number of licenses needed while reducing the overall cost of implementation." By providing a flexible licensing and purchasing model on a global level, the agreement elevates Telelogic to strategic partner status with the client company.
