Telelogic strengthens its presence in Finland MALMÖ, Sweden, March 22, 1999 - In an effort to provide local support to its key customer Nokia, Telelogic will establish an office in Finland. In connection with the opening of the office in the beginning of April, Telelogic has appointed Petri Hirvonen as local account manager for Nokia in Finland. Petri Hirvonen's prior employment was at Nokia Telecommunications where he was leader of the product management team for IP networking services and products. "With a broad background in telecommunication system development, we believe Petri will contribute to strengthen our relationship with Nokia", said Johan Bergstrand, Global Account Director for Nokia and responsible for the new Finnish expansion. The office in Helsinki will be based in the rapidly growing IT area of Espoo, west of the capital. "We chose Espoo and the Spektri Business Park because this will place us within arms-length of our major customer Nokia", Johan Bergstrand continues. "Telelogic Tau's strengths of increasing software quality and decreasing time- to-market is important for industry-leading companies. The growing number of advanced customer projects in Finland using our tools and methods will require us to provide our services on a local basis", Johan Bergstrand concludes. Telelogic professional services' objective is to leverage the customer's investment in Telelogic Tau by providing our customers with a deeper understanding and thereby a more efficient usage of our tools and methods. Already from the start the team in Finland consists of two people, Asko Laari, consultant manager, and Richard Haagensen, methods & application consultant.
