Telelogic Tau 4.1 delivers first SDL-2000 features

Telelogic Tau 4.1 delivers first SDL-2000 features Provides optimized capabilities for real-time software development MALMÖ, Sweden, November 21, 2000 - Telelogic AB (Stockholm Stock Exchange:TLOG), the leading supplier of solutions for real-time software development and requirements management, announces the availability of the latest release of its successful tool suite Telelogic Tau 4.1. By combining the two leading graphical development languages, UML 1.3 and SDL-2000, the new product meets the strong market demand for visual design of all aspects of real-time and communication software systems. "With the release of Telelogic Tau 4.1, the real-time market takes yet another step towards the harmonization of UML and SDL" said Ingemar Ljungdahl, Telelogic's CTO. "With the merged real-time language UML 2.0 still in the future, the new SDL-2000 support in Telelogic Tau brings key benefits of UML 2.0 to real-time developers already today." For many software projects, reducing the time spent in testing leads to major improvements in time-to-market for the products. The 4.1 release includes support for regression testing of software modules, as well as a completely new TTCN test script generator, offering improved error handling and an extended logging functionality. In close cooperation with some of Telelogic's most demanding customers, the 3G development projects, the ASN.1 support has been extended, making Telelogic Tau the only tool on the market that offers a one-stop solution for visual development with integrated ASN.1 support. All of these features are in addition to the Telelogic Tau and DOORS integration already announced. Availability Telelogic Tau 4.1 is currently available from Telelogic for Microsoft® Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and UNIX workstations.
