TeliaSonera International Carrier chosen by 11 global broadcasters to provide support during Olympics 2012
The biggest sporting event in the world is almost upon us, and will see four billion people tuning in globally to watch the Olympic Games in London. TeliaSonera International Carrier is proud to announce that it has been selected to provide support for 11 major global broadcasters during one of the biggest sporting events of the decade.
Broadcasters Deutsche Welle, Korea Broadcast Services, Tokyo Broadcast Systems, Bandsports, EBU, YLE, NRK, Aldea, KEF and Televisa, have all selected TeliaSonera International Carrier’s Media Connect Occasional Use service. The service enables broadcasters to ensure the safe delivery of their Olympic content, offering international video contribution and distribution over TeliaSonera International Carrier’s robust global fiber network infrastructure. The service is used to store and transport digital media content as well distributing it live and in real-time.
The Media Connect Occasional Use Service transports professional media content over TeliaSonera International Carrier’s media network based on its international fiber network, which spans 22 countries on three continents. The media network covers all of Europe’s major media hubs, the US, Hong Kong and Singapore.
