TeliaSonera International Carrier has, as the first international carrier, lit up its own fibre and transmission network between Warsaw and Berlin. All IP traffic, between the two cities, is now run on TeliaSonera International Carrier’s wholly owned Viking Network.

As the new stretch into Poland is part of the wholly owned and controlled Viking Network, it will enable the company to offer its customers reliable IP and capacity services with a higher service level than before. “We are very pleased to incorporate this important route between Warsaw and Berlin into the Viking Network”, says Jean-Claude Geha, Head of Networks at TeliaSonera International Carrier. “The IP market in this region is growing, and therefore it is of strategic importance for TeliaSonera International Carrier to expand its wholly owned network into this region. This gives us increased possibilities to meet the needs of the global IP market.” About TeliaSonera International Carrier TeliaSonera International Carrier provides wholesale international IP, Capacity and Voice services to major destinations in Europe and across the Atlantic.
