TeliaSonera International Carrier signs 3-year Global IP-transit agreement with DANTE

Internet is an important tool to millions of European students. TeliaSonera International Carrier has signed a 3-year agreement with DANTE, the operator of the GÉANT2 network, to further increase their global IP connectivity to the European research community.

TeliaSonera International Carrier will be the main provider to DANTE with high quality Internet connectivity. The multi-million Euro agreement includes delivery of 10 high capacity IP transit ports across Europe and the establishment of a new connection providing DANTE with IP Transit capacity in Budapest. The total connected capacity is currently 20 Gbits per second and covers the Internet needs for millions of students across western and Eastern Europe.
