Allison Kirkby to start as President and CEO on May 4

As previously announced, Allison Kirkby has been expected to assume the position of President and CEO of Telia Company during the second quarter of 2020. We can now confirm that she will take up her position on May 4, 2020.

“I remain super excited about joining Telia. Getting to know the Telia team will be my first priority, so that we can, together, shape and create a Telia Company that employees, customers and shareholders are proud of,” says Allison Kirkby.

 Telia Company’s Board of Directors appointed Allison Kirkby as the next President and CEO of Telia Company on October 24, 2019.

 “Allison Kirkby’s solid experience from our industry, her proven leadership skills and ability to create shareholder return, will be invaluable for Telia Company, and the Board looks forward to working together with her. I also would like to express my profound gratitude towards Christian Luiga who successfully has led Telia Company since last autumn,” says Lars-Johan Jarnheimer, Chair of the Board, Telia Company.

Christian Luiga will remain as acting President and CEO until May 4 and then return to his role as Executive Vice President and CFO at Telia Company.
