As of today, more than four million Telia mobile customers have access to the Stockholm International Film Festival website on their mobile phones. Mobile users can watch movie trailers, read the festival guide and search for current films.

As of today, Telia’s mobile customers in Sweden can access the new film festival service through Telia’s mobile Internet portal, Telia SurfPort. Under the heading Stockholms filmfestival (Stockholm International Film Festival), Telia mobile users can watch trailers of movies that will be shown during the festival, find program information in the festival guide and access a search engine that allows searching by film category, movie and date. “ One of our constant goals is to make our mobile Internet portal as valuable and user-friendly as possible. Making the Stockholm film festival available to our mobile users is a good example of a service combining business with pleasure that we want to give to our customers,” says Kent Jonsson, head of mobile offerings for private customers at TeliaSonera Sweden. The Stockholm International Film Festival runs November 17-27. The festival is on the cutting edge of new technology in the film-making world: “ The fact that festival visitors and other people interested in movies can get information on their mobile phones facilitates their planning and helps them get even more out of the festival. Because most people have a mobile phone, we can be the first to reach a large audience with the latest movies. To my knowledge, this is a world premier for festival information through a mobile Internet portal,” says Git Scheynius, head of the Stockholm International Film Festival. Information about the Stockholm International Film Festival is available to customers in Sweden with a Telia mobile subscription or Telia prepaid card. A 3G-enabled mobile phone is required to watch trailers. The other festival services also function on GSM phones. There is no charge for watching movie trailers.
