Telia launches two new broadband services Today Telia is launching two new broadband services for consumers - Telia Broadband 250 and Telia Broadband 2000. The services make it easier for customers to find the broadband service alternative that best suits their needs. Telia now has three services in its broadband portfolio - the new Telia Broadband 250 service (speed: 0.25 Mbit/s), Telia Broadband 500 (0.5 Mbit/s, previously called Telia ADSL Broadband) and the new Telia Broadband 2000 service (2 Mbit/s). All are based on well-proven ADSL technology. Easier to find the broadband service that meets needs The new range of services is designed so that more customers can find the right broadband service to meet their needs. People who surf the Internet, pay bills through e-banking services and send e-mail might want to choose the low-price service Telia Broadband 250. The large family with several computers connected in a network, which are used simultaneously, can instead choose Telia Broadband 2000. Users who are completely satisfied with Telia Broadband 500 can simply continue to use this service. "Telia's goal is to become more simple to deal with and more fine-tuned to customer needs. We also aim to constantly improve and develop our services. This initiative is an example of how we have conducted a dialogue with our customers and paid close attention to their requests for a broader range of services," says Indra Åsander, Head of the Consumer Segment at TeliaSonera Sweden. Customers pay a connection fee (no charge during the campaign period May 5-31, 2003) for Telia Broadband 250 and Telia Broadband 500, plus a fixed monthly fee that includes unlimited surfing. For Telia Broadband 2000, customers pay a connection fee (no charge during the campaign period May 5-31, 2003) and a fixed monthly rate. The monthly rate includes 10 GB of data (uploaded and downloaded data, respectively), after which each MB costs 2.5 öre. 10 GB is enough capacity to download, for example, 2,000 MP3 files (such as music) or 10 movies.
