Telia launches unique subscription service for computer games

– Gaming heaven – play as much as you want for a fixed monthly fee

Today is the launch of Telia Game Subscription, a unique service that means users no longer need to buy their computer games, but can easily download them to their computers from Telia’s gaming portal and play as much as they want for a fixed monthly fee. Gaming heaven, in other words. The service is not limited to Telia customers – anyone can subscribe.

With Telia Game Subscription, customers have access to a game catalogue with almost 300 games in different categories. Here you will find everything from advanced games such as Ghost Recon: Desert Siege, Colin McRae Rally, Prince of Persia and Age of Empires II to arcade games like Moomintroll and Pacmania. New games will be added to the catalogue selection every month.

“We believe that our new subscription service will be a hit with anyone interested in computer games. For example, families with children can benefit enormously since they potentially could spend a lot of money buying computer games. A subscription service would allow everyone in the family to play their favorite games and easily test new games - without it costing a fortune and at any time during the day,” says Erik Hallberg, Head of Broadband Services at TeliaSonera in Sweden.
Two packages at launch
Telia Game Subscription will initially offer two packages: “Telia Game Subscription Family”, which includes more than 100 games for SEK 99/month and “Telia Game Subscription Premium”, which offers over 200 games for SEK 189/month.

New games will be added to the catalogue selection every month. Newly released games will be added to the Premium subscription.
