Telia recognized as Supplier Engagement Leader by CDP

Telia Company has scored an ‘A’ in CDP’s latest Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA). The widely recognized benchmark ranks Telia among the world’s top companies in engaging with suppliers on climate action – a process that’s more vital than ever, given that around 80% of Telia’s total emissions come from its supply chain.

The SEA assesses companies in areas such as governance, climate target-setting, value chain greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and value chain engagement.

By the end of 2024, suppliers representing 62% of emissions in Telia’s supply chain had set science-based targets, verified by the Science Based Targets Initiative or equivalent, for emissions reductions. Telia has cut emissions in its own operations by 80% since 2018, and aims to reach net-zero by 2040.

Transforming Telia’s supply chain is one of the priority areas in its Climate Transition Plan, alongside reducing emissions from its own operations and helping customers to lower their climate footprints through digital solutions.

CDP is a global non-profit that runs an independent disclosure system aimed to support companies, capital markets, cities, states and regions in managing their environmental impacts. The latest SEA is based on disclosures for 2024.
