Telia’s network is Norway’s number one
After evaluating 11,900 voice calls and more than 183,000 data tests, Telia topped Rohde & Schwarz’s benchmarking of mobile network operators in Norway.
A leading provider of mobile network testing solutions, Rohde & Schwarz conducted the analysis in October 2024. Spanning an area of over 5,550 kilometers and covering more than 50% of Norway’s population, it used a transparent, harmonized and user-centric Network Performance Scoring (NPS) approach.
Mobile services such as web browsing, social media, voice telephony, data transfer and video were all included. The broad scope ensured an accurate representation of user experience across a country famous for its challenging mountainous geography.
From a possible 1,000 points, Telia delivered an impressive NPS result of 829 points. It’s a score that makes Telia the top performer in Norway – and one of the leading mobile operators anywhere in the world.

In December 2024, Telia became the first operator with nationwide 5G coverage in Norway, just four years after switching on the country’s first 5G base stations. Today, 1.6 million 5G mobile devices are already connected to Telia’s Norwegian network.
