Telia signs Nordic agreement with Manpower Solutions

Telia and Manpower Solutions have signed a Nordic managed services agreement covering operation, support and development services for Manpower’s total information technology needs. The agreement runs until 2008 and covers the provision of IT support services for workplaces, telephony, Manpower Solutions’ contact centre, WLAN/LAN networks and server operation.

With Telia, Manpower Solutions gains an IT partner that takes responsibility for everything from workplace equipment to meet the needs of individual companies, to development, operation and support services for Manpower Solutions’ Nordic communications network. By choosing to assign all responsibility to one provider instead of spreading it over several, Manpower expects to reduce its costs for IT and telephony by 25 percent. “A growing number of company managements are seeing the positive effects of letting a professional IT partner take care of all or parts of their telecommunications and IT support services, since it allows them to focus more on their core business and increase their efficiency,” says Anders Gylder, head of the Large Corporate Customers Segment at TeliaSonera Sweden. About managed services The agreement is within the framework for Telia’s new Managed Services initiative and Manpower Solutions is one of the first customers to choose the new concept on a Nordic basis. With Telia Managed Services, Telia assumes complete responsibility for existing equipment and the operation, management, production and development of a company’s communications system. Telia has developed a special methodology for migrating the customer’s existing systems to Telia’s standard solution in order to secure the customer’s previous investments.
