Telia supplies telephony and communications for Södra Telia has signed a new agreement with the Södra forestry group in Sweden covering additional deliveries of all fixed and mobile telephony services and Södra's data communications. The five-year agreement is valued at approximately SEK 100 million. The agreement covers telephony and communications, although discussions are being continued about increasing Telia's commitment to include the development of services and functions for Södra's approximately 3,600 employees. Meeting services through video conferencing and mobile applications are being discussed and could be included in the agreement going forward. "The focus is on creating greater usability for each Södra employee," says Anders Gylder, head of the Large Corporate Customers Segment at TeliaSonera Sweden. "As a full-range supplier, we are required to find effective and cost- saving solutions for customers. Much of this has already been accomplished by reviewing current agreements and adapting them to customer needs. In the new part of the Södra agreement that is being further discussed, the starting point is how to satisfy Södra's real needs and demands in the best possible way," ends Anders Gylder.
