TeliaSonera acquires Validation Business Area Net
TeliaSonera acquires Validation Business Area Net On Thursday, a deal was concluded between Validation and TeliaSonera for acquisition of Validation's Business Area Net. Around 210 people will therefore be employed by TeliaSonera Sweden. With this purchase, TeliaSonera is securing strategically vital expertise within the fields of quality assurance, validation, and configuration. TeliaSonera accounts for around 90 percent of the assignments that Business Area Net has so far had. "It's logical to ensure we have access to the uniquely special expertise found within Validation. The operation is so significant to the quality of our services and for the relation to our suppliers, that it ought to be integrated into our own operation," said Ove Alm, Head of TeliaSonera Sweden Networks and Production. The test installations that make up the reference network for TeliaSonera's operational network are also included in the acquisition. Provided the Swedish Competition Authority gives the parties its approval, the agreement is expected to come into force on 1 June.
