As the main partner, TeliaSonera has launched supercharged.eurovision.tv, a platform for all Eurovision Song Contest fans. Here you will find everything about the event, aggregated content from social networks and our own exclusive content. The TV event is one of the biggest in Europe and an experience people want to engage in and share. We will use our international telecommunication network and technical competence to make the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 the most engaging, shared and connected ever.

“This year the Eurovision Song Contest will have a global social platform where everyone can interact and share content with each other. On the website you will find our own exclusive content such as interviews and live broadcasts with the participating artists, photos and films, tweets and unique moments about the artists preparing for the final,” says Piret Mürk Dubout, Head of the project at TeliaSonera.

From May 11, we will also broadcast live from our Purple glass studio, at Gustav Adolfs Torg in Malmö. From the studio we will broadcast interviews and performances with the participating artists via supercharged.eurovision.tv. Cameras in the Purple glass studio, on the stage in Eurovillage and backstage at the Malmö Arena aswell as mobile 4G professional camera teams will capture exciting moments that we want to share with everyone in Europe. The feeds will be sent to our studio in Stockholm via our 100 Gb fiber cable and distributed on the internet to Youtube, Telia Digital-TV and Spotify.

“The Eurovision Song Contest is one of the largest TV events in Europe with over 125 million viewers. As one of the top three global IP backbone providers we connect 345 million end-users. With our network and our technology we have high ambitions and are expecting over 10 million new streams on supercharged.eurovision.tv,” says Piret Mürk Dubout. “We are going to make the Eurovison Song Contest supercharged!”

In Malmö, TeliaSonera, will treat all visitors to free WiFi at all Eurovision dedicated areas. TeliaSonera’s local operator, Telia, has also upgraded its 3G and 4G mobile networks to facilitate the best possible sharing experiences from the event.
