TeliaSonera awarded for best investor relations

For the fourteenth consecutive year, Research firm Regi has conducted a survey of listed companies’ investor relations. TeliaSonera was awarded for best company investor relations amongst the largest listed companies in Sweden 2011. Andreas Ekström, Head of Investor Relations, TeliaSonera was awarded for best head of investor relations.

At the analyst firm Regi’s annual awards ceremony hold yesterday TeliaSonera was awarded first prize in the category Best Company in the Large Cap category and Best IRO on Large Cap in Sweden 2011.

“It is very honoring,“ says Per-Arne Blomquist, Chief Financial Officer, TeliaSonera. “This is the result of long term, dedicated work by Andreas and the Investor Relations team. It is very important for us to have good relations with analysts and that the market understands what we do and why. Our ambition is to be as open as possible and to talk both about what works well and less well and what we do to correct and improve. The award is further proof that our strategy is on track and that the market understands what we have set out to do”, he continued.

The survey is organized by the analyst company Regi in cooperation with NASDAQ OMX. Regis annual survey is the most comprehensive of its kind. Regi and United Kingdom-based analysts and fund managers have evaluated the overall IR work with companies they actively monitor. In fierce competition among 47 Swedish large cap companies and 26 Swedish mid-cap companies, the prize for best efforts in investor relations in 2011 was awarded in three categories - Best General, Best IRO and Best CEO.825 Annual assessments form the basis for the Swedish part of the IR Nordic Markets 2011th.
